Job Overview

To support the Robotics business growth strategy implementation in Europe, United States, Australia & New Zealand, Southeast Asia, we are looking for Field Application Engineer. This role will be the key contact person of the local region. The key objectives of this role will be accountable for providing field application engineering service, technical support to local customers and implement development testing for R&D projects. The position will have the opportunity to master the technical knowledge of Autonomous Golf Ball Picking Robot and Advanced Autonomous Reel Mower deeply, to engage with customers to identify the customer's problem and propose the right solution for the customer, to work closely with the international R&D teams, which will ensure a close internal alignment about company's business growth strategy in the local market. This role can be based anywhere in following options (Florida USA, France, Czech, United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam), ideally near major golf court regions.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support for the product installation, software setup, calibration and operation for the mobile robotic equipment both on-site and remotely;

  2. Maintain the relationship with customers and provide technical support to customers, including remote technical guidance or on-site after-sales service etc.;

  3. Act as liaison between customers and internal support channels (Sales, PM, R&D) to address any gaps in product usage to improve overall customer experience;

  4. Gather and report market insights and user feedback to help improve product design and functionality;

  5. Cooperate with sales team and pay visit to potential customers by providing on-site technical support;

  6. Prepare and update user manuals, installation guides, and FAQs;

  7. Deliver product training sessions for distributors and customers in respect of operating procedures and function of the robotic products;

  8. Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams during exhibitions, demos, and customer visits;

  9. Implement the maintenance for the equipment regularly.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics and industrial robots, or equivalent experience;

  2. Min. 2 years' experience in engineering of robotic products or mechanical equipment. Hands-on field application engineer experience in outdoor autonomous robotic equipment, mobile equipment for golf industry, agriculture automation is highly regarded;

  3. Knowledge in mechanical and electrical principles, strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills;

  4. Excellent customer relationship manner and the ability to handle difficult situations with diligence. A problem solver and fast learner;

  5. Ability to translate customer requirements into clear feedback for R&D and sales teams;

  6. Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work under pressure;

  7. Proactive, energetic, and passionate about innovation in robotic and automation products;

  8. Proficient in English communication skills and Chinese;

  9. Willingness to travel around 50% of work schedule mainly to customers, distributors etc. in domestic and surrounding area;

  10. A holder of permanent residence or with green card in local area, or willing to be dispatched to overseas countries with valid visa is a must. Proficient in Chinese is preferred.
